Kageki Shojo !! Anime gets new music video, reveals artist of ending song

The official website and Twitter account for Kumiko Saiki’s animated adaptation Kageki Shojo !! manga has revealed a new promotional video for the anime. The video provides a preview of the ending theme song “Hoshi no Tabibito” by Sarasa Watanabe. Additionally, the website revealed that the anime will receive 13 episodes across four Blu-ray volumes. Kageki Shojo !! is scheduled to premiere on July 3.
The actors of the anime include Kana Hanazawa as Hijiri Nojima, Mikako Komatsu as Risa Nakayama, Yuka Terasaki as Akemi Takei, Junichi Suwabe as Mamoru Ando, ââKenji Nojima as Taichi Narata, Kengo Takanashi as Akiya Shirakawa and Takehito Koyakawa as ShirÅsaburÅ , like Sarasa Watanabe, Yumiri Hanamori like Ai Narata, Sumire Uesaka like Sawa Sugimoto, YÅ Taichi like Kaoru Hoshino, Rico Sasaki like Ayako Yamada, Risae Matsuda like Chika Sawada, Satsumi Matsuda like Chiaki Sawada and Hiroki Nanami like Sei Satomi. The three-member saji group will perform the opening theme song “Hoshi no Orchestra” (“Starry Orchestra”).
The main crew of the anime includes Kazuhiro Yoneda (Yona of the dawn) as director, Tadashi Morishita (Yona of the dawn) as the composer of the series, Takahiro Kishida (Haikyuu !!) as character designer, Tsuneyoshi Saito (Fafner in the azure) as a music composer, Yasuji Sakagami (Durarara !!) as a colourist, Yasuhiro Asagi (Gleipnir) as director of photography, Daisuke Imai (Ergo Proxy) as editor-in-chief, Yukio Nagasaki (Akudama Road) as sound director, Hiromichi Tanigawa (The Tatami Galaxy) as artistic director, and Miyuki Koga (Bakemonogatari) as an accessory designer. Animation production will be from PINE JAM, with music production from King Records.

Like the Takarazuka Review, the young women who attend the Kouka Kageki High School’s Academy of Arts play all roles in musical theater, whether female or male. Narada Ai is a jaded former idol who plays female roles – her roommate, playing male roles, is the bright-eyed peasant woman Watanabe Sarasa. From school to the stage to the rest of their lives, there is no challenge these young women cannot meet with their passion for performance.
